Survey reveals the quantum of popularity that Casino Games enjoy in Britain.

A recent survey carried out by a casino company in Britain revealed some interesting insights into the popularity of Casino games. The survey revealed that most players would chose to spend the evening with a casino game rather than enjoying a pint at a pub with friends. Most respondents admitted to giving pub-crawls a miss for a gamble at a online casino.

The survey also showed online casinos dominance over television. About thirty – eight percent of gamblers admitted that they would give up television for some online casino gambling action. A miniscule percentage also admitted they wouldn’t mind giving up their regular jobs to play professionally online.

The survey also helped in determining the popular casino games. Most gamblers preferred to play Texas Hold 'Em Online Poker, Blackjack, Roulette and other Poker, in the same order.

The average time spent gambling was clocked to ten hours a week as per feedback from respondents. The survey has provided interesting insights into habits of the gamblers as well and reinforced the soaring popularity of Online Casino Games in United Kingdom.

Regulation for Online Casino needs to be strengthened

In research conducted by XTN Data, a research consultancy it has been found that only 20% of respondents in UK feel that government is doing optimum to regulate online casino gambling. Another key finding was that people were deeply concerned about under age gambling. Survey respondents felt that casinos must do everything possible and take the responsibility to prevent gamblers below age of 18 from participating in online gambling. Users felt strongly that all current online casino gambling websites are not able to effectively prevent under age gambling.

A whooping 50 % of surveyed respondents admitted they did not know how to use online casino services and hence do not use them. It underlines the need for online casino to better educate the new users and provide tips and strategies.

The survey also brought out the perception that UK based online casinos enjoy. Almost 35 per cent of users felt that UK casinos stand high in terms of reliability compared to those based abroad.
